The Afif Terrane in the Arabian Shield hosts three prominent gold belts: the Sukhaybarat–Shabah Gold District, the Nuqrah VMS Belt, and the Ad Duwayhi–Nabitah Gold Belt. These belts are characterized by Neoproterozoic volcanic, sedimentary, and intrusive rocks, shaped by complex tectonic and magmatic events between 740 Ma and 520 Ma.
Each belt represents a unique geological environment with significant gold potential, underscoring the region’s importance for exploration and mining activities.
