This belt in the Arabian Shield hosts the Ad Duwayhi gold mine. Its rich orogenic gold deposits have attracted extensive exploration since the 1960s, including geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, and advanced drilling campaigns by BRGM, USGS, and Ma’aden.
The Ad Duwayhi-Nabitah Gold Belt is a 165 km long region in the Arabian Shield, containing the Ad Duwayhi gold mine. The belt is surrounded by volcanic, sedimentary, and intrusive rocks and is home to the Haml Batholith. The gold deposit is shear-zone-hosted, controlled by faults. The region has undergone extensive exploration, including geological mapping, soil geochemistry surveys, airborne geophysics, ground geophysics, and remote sensing.
