Service Beneficiaries
Holders of valid exploration and exploitation licenses are allowed to amend their licenses before the expiration date.
Licenses Eligible for Modification
- Exploration Licenses
- Exploitation Licenses(Building Materials Quarry / Mining and Small Mine Licenses).
How to Apply for the Service
A license modification request can be submitted by logging into the Mining Platform (smsc.sa) and selecting from the list (Other Services - Modify Coordinates) after meeting the following requirements:
- The license modification must be made during the validity period of the license
- The license area must not exceed the permissible area
- The modification must be for technical reasons or natural factors affecting the presence of the ore.
- The modification of the site's coordinates must not exceed 50% of the total license area
- The modification must not conflict with an active exploration or exploitation license.
The Procedures Followed to Apply for the License Modification Service
- Fill out the coordinates modification form on the Mining Platform
- Submit an updated work program plan
- Submit a report outlining the reasons for the modification request
License Modification Service Fees
- For exploration licenses : 5,000 .
- For exploitation licenses : 10,000 .
