Workshop on Managing Heat Stress Risks in Mining Operations During the Summer Season

As part of its ongoing efforts to support investors and enhance investment opportunities in the mining sector, the Saudi Mining Services Company (ESNAD), in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, is organizing a virtual workshop on heat stress and its impact on the health and safety of workers and the work environment.

Workshop Objectives:

• To understand the concept of heat stress, its causes, and its health effects on workers.
• To identify risk factors related to the environment and operational tasks that increase the likelihood of heat stress.
• To distinguish between early and advanced symptoms of heat stress and the appropriate response methods.
• To review and apply preventive control measures.
• To raise awareness of global best practices and relevant standards for working in hot environments.
