Small mine license gives the investor the right to mine and exploit the specified Classes A & B minerals. In addition, it allows the investor to transfer and sell the exploited minerals along with full operational rights.
The license is issued for a duration of 20years, and renewable for an additional 20 years. The total duration of the license and its renewal does not exceed 40 years.
- The application site should be within the valid exploration license area
- When renewing the license, the application must be submitted at least (180) days prior to the expiration date of the license
- Provide a plan for managing the environmental and social impact (the plan is updated upon license renewal request)
- Provide a plan for rehabilitation and closure (the plan is updated upon license renewal request)
- Provide an economic feasibility study for the exploitation of ores and minerals.
- Provide evidence of technical competence and financial capability
- Provide financial guarantee
