Building Materials License
Building materials quarry license gives the investor the right to mine and exploit the specified Class C minerals. In addition, it allows the investor to transfer and sell the exploited minerals along with full operational rights.
- Selecting a location within mining complexes. If the application site is outside the mining complexes, an exploration license for the desired site is required
- When renewing the license, the application must be submitted at least (90) days prior to the expiration date of the license
- Provide a plan for managing the environmental and social impact (the plan is updated upon license renewal request).
- Provide a plan for rehabilitation and closure (the plan is updated upon license renewal request).
- Provide an economic feasibility study for the exploitation of ores and minerals.
- Provide evidence of technical competence and financial capability.
- Provide financial guarantee.
The license is issued for a period of 10 years, renewable for one or more periods, with each period not exceeding 5 years.

- Application fees: 10,000 SAR.
- Issuance fees: 20,000 SAR.
- Renewal fees: 20,000 SAR.
