Issuance of a Building Materials Quarry License – Public Projects
How to Apply for the Service
You can submit a request to issue a Building Materials Quarry License for public projects by accessing the Taadeen platform, logging in at smsc.sa, and selecting the screen for License Issuance (Building Materials Quarry – Government Projects), after fulfilling the following conditions:
- The requested site area must not exceed 250,000 square meters.
- The applicant must not have any outstanding payments due to the Ministry related to any license.
- There must be no existing mining complex within a 60-kilometer radius of the project site that provides the required materials according to the project’s technical specifications.
Application Procedures for the Service
- Fill out the Building Materials Quarry License application form on the Taadeen platform.
- Submit a letter of support from the government entity that owns the project.
- Attach the required permits from the relevant authorities.
- Submit an Environmental Impact Management Plan and a Rehabilitation Program.
- Provide the financial guarantee.
License Duration
The requested license duration must not exceed the duration of the project contract.

- License Issuance Fee: 20,000 SAR
