The Sukhaybarat – Shabah Gold District (Mineral Round 9) hosts several advanced Intrusion-Related Gold projects with mineralization commonly associated with Idah Suite intrusives hosted within the Murdama Group meta-sediment.
Meta-sedimentary basin-fill material of the Murdama Group is predominant within this region hosting intrusion-related gold mineralization associated with the Idah Suite, e.g. at the Sukhaybarat and Red Hill mines. Similar- style gold mineralization occurs at several advanced projects, including Shabah, Tarfawi, Musiniya’ah and Meshaeed. Mineralization often consists of gold bearing quartz veins hosted in Idah Suite granodiorite and tonalite and pervasively altered wall rocks of sandstone and siltstone of the Murdama Group.
